Feb. 10, 2011

Just laying in bed in yoga pants and slippers after a long day (drinking a glass of wine, don't judge me). Everyone at my methods site is sick, and I am pretty sure I am starting to get sick too. Boo. But what do you expect when you spend your entire life around snotty, sick kids?

This week was a busy one. I did a lesson on monday and it was great! I felt like a real teacher. And on tuesday I read The True Meaning of Smekday to my kids and they loved it, I only had enough time for the first chapter, but I am doing a lesson with it next week :) In class on Wednesday I got an invitation for one of my kid's birthday parties, so cute haha. They call me Ms. Wiesner and it just makes my heart melt, oh I love them.

I started reading Water for Elephants and so far it is great, I recommend it to all of you!! I don't have too much time to read for fun, but I like to read a little before I go to bed.

I turn in my student teaching application and resume tomorrow! Woohoo! I am so excited to be able to really teach and take over. I should get my placement around the end of April I believe then I get to meet my cooperating teacher. I feel like this semester is already wizzing by.

I don't have much else to update you guys on.

GREY'S ANATOMY is on tonight! My FAVE! Get excited!

Umm... Jack and Jill are doing good, bratty as ever. Around 5 every morning Jill decides she is going to attack and claw my feet, that's always a nice way to wake up, eh?

My life isn't very exciting right now so I don't have much to tell ya. Love and miss you all!

Feb. 3, 2011

Since I never get to talk to family I am starting to blog again so you all can know what is going on in my crazy life!

How about I catch you guys up!!

I am in methods this semester which means I am taking classes and working in classrooms at an elementary school. I spend half my time taking courses at Mesa Verde Elementary and half my time working in a 3rd grade classroom at Homer Davis Elementary. It is a lot of work, and I am absolutely exhausted, but it is so great. I love it! I am starting to get very attached to my 3rd graders and I am not going to want to leave them at the end of my rotation, which is March 9th. But, the upside to that is I will be starting my next rotation in a kinder classroom, which is where I would like to end up when I get a job :) Love those kids! Most of the stuff I will tell you on my blog will probably be my methods stories, cause as we all know, kids are strange little things, and I have some very interesting as well as very fulfilling days. I am no longer working, no time! So I am strictly a student now. And I am still playing lacrosse, but I only go every once in a while because I just don't have the time. Other than that I am just hanging out with my cats. Which, if we're being honest, is one of my favorite things to do! If you know me well you know that my cats, Jack and Jill, are pretty much my life. Yup.
I live alone now, I love it. Sometimes it can be scary because I kind of live in a not so great area, but for the most part I am liking having my own place. Just me and the cats :) I am having fun making the place my own and decorating it however I want, because hey, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks cause I am alone! I am currently obsessed with Grey's Anatomy and whenever I am doing homework or just hanging out I usually have it playing so that there is some kind of noise.
I can't think of too much else that is going on in my life. My world basically revolves around school right now. And I am actually really enjoying that.
I am still my crazy, narcissistic self though. I feel the need to bother ex-boyfriends (you all know who I am talking about, but we do not speak his name: Mom's rule). Sometimes I think that my life is a romantic comedy and if I am crazy enough and persistent enough things will turn out the way I want them to. So far, unsuccessful. I'll keep you guys posted on how that works out, haha.
I suppose that is enough for now! Miss you all, love you all!
